What is virtual reality, and the Metaverse.

Virtual reality is oviously broadly defined as an replacement or recration of 'real life' however a more narrow and usefull defininition which doesn't include things like dreams (yet) is: Virtual Reality the computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or environment that can be interacted with in a seemingly real or physical way by a person using special Immersive technologys such as a helmet with a screen inside or gloves fitted with sensors.

The current age of virtual reality began in 2010, Palmer Lucky created the first prototype of a VR headset that would evolve into the Oculus Rift. Two years later, he launched a $250,000 Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to commercialise it – and $2.4m of pledges later, the tech industry’s interest in VR was reborn. Two years after that, Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, liked the Rift so much .
